Florida continues to be one of the top destinations in the country for people to move to, and in the latest figures from the U.S. Census Bureau, more people are making the move than ever before.
The number of people who moved between states rose from nearly 7.9 million people in 2021 to approximately 8.2 million people in 2022, according to newly released U.S. Census Bureau estimates.
Only beaten by California, and New York, the report shows that Florida continues to be one of the top destinations in the country for people to move to, with the number of people moving to Florida much higher than the national average.
One of the largest state-to-state migration flows in 2022 involved over 91,000 New Yorkers moving to Florida, and even in Texas, which had the country's lowest (11.7%) outmigration rates, saw over 38,000 Texans relocating to Florida.
Nationally and internationally, over a million people moved to Florida in 2022, and everyone here pretty much likes it, as the number of people leaving is dropping, so yes, the next time you drive on the I-4, it is getting busier!!
