Devastating news for Orlando Fringe as extensive flooding at Fringe Artspace on W Church Street has resulted in the organization cancelling its first ever Orlando Out Fest, together with forcing the upcoming Open Scene's Latin American Performing Arts Festival to move.

Orlando Fringe has revealed the devastation news that their performing arts space, Fringe ArtSpace located on W Church Street has been affected by severe flooding, resulted in extensive water damage to the space.
The incubator artspace in the former home of Mad Cow Theatre officially opened on January 11, 2023 at 54 W. Church Street, and is home to a 9,100 square foot space that is home to two performing theatre spaces: a mainstage with 166 seats and a black box with 40-60 seats.
The flooding has forced Orlando Fringe to cancel the inaugural Orlando Out Fest, a curated festival celebrating exclusively LGBTQIA stories, artists, and history that was set to take place from June 27 - 20.
The flooding has also forced the relocation of Open Scene's Latin American Performing Arts Festival, which will now take place at Trinity Preparatory School of Florida, located at 5700 Trinity Prep Ln, Winter Park.
Commenting on the devastating news that Out Fest was cancelled, Orlando Fringe commented, "We're incredibly disappointed to announce that due to unforeseen flooding that has resulted in extensive water damage, ORLANDO OUT FEST will not be happening next week like originally scheduled."
Orlando Fringe say that they are making all efforts to reschedule the festival for another date, and hope to share an update as soon as they have more information.
For those of you who have already purchased your tickets, the box office will be in contact with you soon, although Orland Fringe is urging everyone to consider donating your ticket purchase to the artists affected by these unforeseen circumstances.
