Experience Kissimmee and Celebration Brewing present donation to Healthy Start Coalition following Citrus Kiss Fundraiser

As part of Experience Kissimmee’s ongoing commitment to supporting local causes, a portion of proceeds from every pint of Citrus Kiss sold was donated to the Healthy Start Coalition


On Friday, January 31, Experience Kissimmee and Celebration Brewing, a family-owned brewery, taproom, and brewpub located in Celebration, presented a check to Healthy Starts Coalition of Osceola County, a non-profit organization committed to improving maternal and child health in the region, after a successful collaboration on the Give Back Beer limited-edition sour, Citrus Kiss.

 

The Citrus Kiss, the first of its kind, embodied the vibrant essence of Kissimmee and Osceola County and featured refreshing citrus notes that reflect the region’s sunny atmosphere.



The successful collaboration resulted in 2.5 barrels (approximately 100 gallons) of Citrus Kiss sold, with wthe ith the beer selling out in nearly a week, showcasing the community's enthusiasm and support. with the initiative raising $1,000 for the Healthy Start Coalition of Osceola County.


Jason Holic, CDME, Chief of Destination Stewardship of Experience Kissimmee commented on the success of the collab, “Experience Kissimmee is deeply grateful to everyone who participated in and supported this impactful collaboration. Seeing Citrus Kiss come to fruition and witnessing the community's enthusiasm has been incredibly rewarding. The craft beer industry has a history of unwavering community support, and we are thrilled to have partnered with Celebration Brewing to uplift the vital work of the Healthy Start Coalition for the growing families of Osceola County.”



The Healthy Start Coalition of Osceola County (HSCOC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 1994 to develop and implement quality systems of care for maternal and child health.


HSCOC’s mission is to promote the health and well-being of mothers, babies and families in the community, and their goals are to reduce infant mortality, preterm birth, and low birth weight babies and to support pregnant women, fathers and parents with a child three years or younger in having the healthiest pregnancy and baby possible. This is done in part through their Connect, Healthy Start, T.E.A.M. Dad, and Fetal Infant Mortality Review, Childbirth Education, and CAFÉ programs and classes, all of which are free to the community. A strong and healthy foundation is key to a healthy start for a healthy future!
