It's officially SUN 'n FUN SEASON and organizers are sharing what they are planning for this year's Aviation Expo and Airshow!
Mark your calendars for aviation’s season opener during the 51st Annual SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo from April 1 to April 6, 2025 in Lakeland.
This year, organizers have already confirmed several display teams for SUN 'n FUN 51, with many more to be announced.
So far the huge news is that the U.S. Navy Growler Demo Team is heading to the SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo from April 3-6, 2025. Watch as they take flight over Lakeland with jaw-dropping maneuvers and adrenaline-pumping aerial displays. Don’t miss your chance to experience the power and precision of one of the Navy’s elite flight teams!
Plus, buckle up for even more of the fastest, coolest, heart-pounding demo teams in the country! Don't miss the F-16 Viper Demo Team and the F-35 Lightning II Demo Team take to the skies at SUN 'n FUN 51!
Coming back this year is Airshow Performer, Rob Holland, flying the MXS - RH. Rob Holland is one of the premier airshow performers and freestyle aerobatic competition pilots in the world today. See him at SUN 'n FUN 2025!
Also returning is the Titan Aerobatic Team! This group of legendary pilots aresome of the airshow industry's most decorated and beloved performers. The team was founded in 1984 by Alan Henley and Steve Gustafson as the North American Aerobatic Team.
In addition to the action in the sky, this year you can come and see the Elvis Jet! Jimmy Webb recently converted a Lockheed Jetstar owned by Elvis Presley into an RV. You can see it at SUN 'n FUN and take a tour!
Come see the KC-135 on the Warbird Ramp at SUN 'n FUN 51, April 1-5, 2025! The KC-135 Stratotanker comes takes off from MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
The 6th Air Refueling Wing provides day-to-day mission support to more than 3,000 personnel along with more than 50 mission partners, including the United States Central Command and United States Special Operations Command. It is a force capable of rapidly projecting air refueling power anywhere in the world. See it at SUN 'n FUN 51!
Aviation is for all ages and there will be lots of activities for the kids everyday at SUN 'n FUN. Stop by the Junior ACEs tent and experience hands-on STEM and Aerospace activities like Sphero Robots, Flight Sims and Riveting!

This year at SUN ‘n FUN STOL Bushwheel Basecamp, kids of all ages will have the chance to experience hands-on activities and adventures that highlight the beauty of outdoor exploration and the excitement of backcountry flying.
Outdoor Exploration Demonstrations: Discover how bush planes provide access to some of the most remote and beautiful places in nature. Through interactive displays and storytelling, kids will learn about wilderness adventures made possible by backcountry aviation.
Backcountry Scavenger Hunt: Kids & adults can embark on an exciting scavenger hunt around the Basecamp, searching for hidden treasures while learning fun facts about aviation and outdoor survival. Prizes await those who complete the hunt!
Up-Close with STOL Planes: Kids can meet real STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) pilots, sit in their impressive aircraft and ask questions. It’s a fantastic opportunity to spark curiosity about aviation and backcountry flying!
Bushwheel Basecamp is located at the Southwest corner of James C. Ray and Echo 1, just across from Blue Tram STOP 12.
