The XFL, which is owned by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, revealed the name and logos of the eight teams that will be playing in their 2023 season.
The Orlando Guardians were announced as one of the eight XFL teams that will kick off their inaugural season on February 18, 2023.
Orlando's Head Coach Terrell Buckley said “The Guardians have touched down in Orlando, and I am back in the Sunshine State to lead the way with smart, fast, and fearless football for our fans,”
He continued "Visiting teams better prepare for a sea of green guarding over Camping World Stadium.”
The Orlando Guardians joins seven other teams across the country whose names and logos were all revealed on Monday: The Arlington Renegades, Houston Roughnecks, San Antonio Brahmas, St. Louis BattleHawks, DC Defenders, Seattle Sea Dragons and the Vegas Vipers .
The XFL explained that each team name and logo was selected to align with its community’s culture and history.
The XFL’s ownership group, which includes Dwayne Johnson, bills the new football league as a “fan-first, fast-paced global professional football league with innovative rules and enhanced 360 game experience.”

The Guardians will play at Camping World Stadium here in Orlando, with tickets starting at $20.
Deposits for season tickets, which come with exclusive benefits, are being accepted on the XFL website now.
