For the first time, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has bought out a show to host special guests for its Community Giveback initiative, which provides unique experiences for students, teachers, veterans, first responders and many other guests and organizations. On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, 500 guests will attend Cirque Mechanics Winter Wonder Shoppe, supported by Chick-fil-A Greater Orlando Area.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and all twelve commissioners of the City of Orlando and Orange County Government selected 15 community organizations that will be in attendance for this special City & County Community Giveback.

More than 47,000 guests have participated in Dr. Phillips Center Community Giveback initiative since its launch in 2017.

“As we continue to grow and reach new milestones with our Community Givebacks, this one is especially meaningful as it marks our first performance buyout,” says Kathy Ramsberger, president & CEO of Dr. Phillips Center. “Our team is committed to expanding the program and exploring partnerships that help us deliver Arts for Every Life, while providing opportunities for individuals of all ages to create lasting memories at Dr. Phillips Center.”

These 500 guests will be provided transportation by GoPegasus to and from the arts center, enjoy a festive preshow reception in the big top tent on the Seneff Arts Plaza and be provided lunch courtesy of Sysco along with a sweet treat from Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream.

After the performance, participants will attend a Q&A session with Cirque Mechanic Winter Wonder Shoppe performers and learn about the creation of the show. Each guest will take with them a gifted swag bag.

This opportunity is made possible by the support of the Salamon Family, Brasfield & Gorrie, Chick-Fil-A Greater Orlando Area, Experience Kissimmee,  GoPegasus, Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, LIFEWTR, Massey Services, McGriff Insurance, OUC: The Reliable One, and Sysco.
