Head to downtown Winter Garden on July 4th to be a part of this great 20-year-old tradition that brings the community together to celebrate America’s birthday.
Downtown Winter Garden’s July 4th festivities are nothing short of spectacular, offering a variety of activities for all ages. Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, the vibrant atmosphere and array of events make it a perfect place to celebrate America’s Independence Day.

20th ANNUAL ALL AMERICAN KIDS PARADE & BREAKFAST
Thursday, July 4, 8 - 10.30 am
PANCAKE BREAKFAST: (Kids Eat Free!)
Winter Garden Masonic Lodge No. 165, 230 W. Bay St.
Before the All American Kids Parade, bring the family to a Pancake Breakfast from 8 - 10 am at the Winter Garden Masonic Lodge. Kids eat free, and breakfast is available for adults to purchase while supplies last. There will also be free entertainment, fun activities, and complimentary patriotic decorations for your bike, scooter, wagon, and even walking shoes to march in the Parade!
KIDS PARADE
Parade: 10 am Kickoff (Lineup: 9:45 am) at Winter Garden City Hall, 300 W. Plant St.
This beloved community tradition started in 2004. Kids, wear your red, white, and blue and Parade through the historic downtown route by bike, scooter, wagon, or foot. (All ages are welcome to participate!)
The Parade launches from City Hall at 10 am and loops around downtown West Plant Street. It is typically 30 minutes long. Spectators are welcome to line the street and secure a good viewing spot to cheer on the parade participants. Bring your own chair to watch in comfort. Whether you are a participant or a spectator, wave to family and friends as the patriotic parade strolls by.
PARTY IN THE PARK
Thursday, July 4, 6 - 10 pm (Fireworks Display, 9:15 pm) Newton Park, 31 W. Garden Avenue
As the sun sets, anticipation builds for the highlight of the day – the fireworks show. Winter Garden is known for its spectacular fireworks display, and this year promises to be no different.
The display can be viewed over Lake Apopka with live music, family activities, and more for all ages. Plan to gather with blankets and lawn chairs, finding the perfect spot to watch the show at Newton Park just a few blocks from downtown. This is a free event presented by the City of Winter Garden.
The Party in the Park festivities begin at 6 pm with Live Music performed by special guest Ranahan, Games, Crafts, Vendors, and more! Bring a chair or blanket and pack a picnic. (NO alcohol and NO fireworks are permitted). Parking is available at several locations on North Dillard Street.
Celebrate All Weekend Long in Downtown Winter Garden
Celebrating July 4th in Downtown Winter Garden is more than just a series of events; it’s a celebration of community, history, and patriotism.
It’s a whole weekend when neighbors come together, new friendships are forged, and lifelong memories are made. Whether you’re enjoying the Parade, participating in the activities, exploring the historic sites, marveling at the fireworks, or enjoying downtown’s small town charm, the experience will surely be unforgettable.
On Friday, July 5th, kick back to Red, White & Blues on the Plaza, with the Grimes Alley Blues Band singing the blues from 7 - 9 pm. This outdoor performance takes place in the center of downtown at Centennial Plaza with swings, benches, and outdoor dining nearby.
If you want to stay cool, pop into one of our museums to view artwork and exhibits featuring local charm including a Fun in the Sun summertime theme at SOBO Art Gallery.
Jaws is showing at the Garden Theatre at 7 pm on July 4th. What better way to watch this summer classic than inside an air-conditioned historic theatre. Reserve your tickets and be ready to jump out of your seat! Or, bring the kids over to the popular Downtown Interactive Fountain on Plant Street to splash around and cool off during the day.
Visit the weekly Winter Garden Farmers Market on Saturday, July 5th, 8 am - 1 pm, to get your favorite summer produce and peruse the 100+ vendors.
Plan time to bring the family downtown and enjoy local restaurants and shops among the outdoor festive patriotic décor.
The local shops are outfitted with everything you need for any festivities you may be hosting at home, from partyware to grilling ingredients and festive desserts.
