The long-awaited fifth venue at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts will open to the public on February 6, featuring a performance from Twisted Pine.
Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has unveiled its latest venue to the world, Judson's Live, a wonderful new addition for live entertainment in downtown Orlando.
Judson’s Live is an intimate music space that will host its first concert on Tuesday, February 6, featuring a month of diverse programming to celebrate the grand opening of this wonderful new space.
This new venue joins the already impressive and world class theater space on the Dr. Phillips Center campus - Walt Disney Theater, Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater, Steinmetz Hall and Seneff Arts Plaza.
Inspired by the legendary listening rooms of the world’s most musical cities, Judson’s Live is an intimate artistic oasis. Designed with stellar acoustics in mind, artists of all genres sound their most impressive in this elevated and inviting space, surrounded by table-style seating for 150.
The atmosphere is low-key with a stylish slant, anchored by a grand piano once belonging to Judson Green, the late jazz musician, beloved Dr. Phillips Center board member.
Judson’s Live is your place to escape the world for 90 minutes. To take-in the surroundings as much as the delicious food and drinks, while discovering new music in the span of a 50-minute performance. Order from a curated scratch-kitchen menu of small shareable plates, developed by Dr Phillips Center's executive chef Jason Klingensmith.
Enjoy a craft cocktail or beverage from an extensive brown spirits menu, or delve into exceptional wine offerings hand-selected by an in-house sommelier.
An impressive line-up of performers has already been announced through until April, and we're sure Judson's lLive will be a very popular performance space in the months and years ahead. Headliners for the month-ling grand opening performances include Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Joshua Redman, Michel Camilo and Keb’ Mo.
Judson's Live was introduced to the world this week at a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demmings, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts chair emeritus Jim Pugh and board of directors member Joyce Green.
