Have you ever wondered what's inside the Wonder House? The Wonder House located in Bartow, is around a 1 hour 15 min drive from Orlando, and well worth the drive.
Before Cypress Gardens and Walt Disney World Resort, tourists flocked to this one-of-a-kind mansion in the heart of Central Florida.
With its concrete walls inlaid with glass tile mosaics, it’s no surprise the unique homestead, known as the Wonder House, quickly became a popular tourist destination from the 1930s – 1960s.
Inside the 18 rooms of the Wonder House you will discover an interesting collection of oddities, like the taxidermy deer and bug collection!
The Wonder House is a full time private residence opening up on a limited basis to offer historic tours. When you visit the Wonder House, you’re treated like a guest, rather than some patron to a museum. You are welcome to sit on the furniture, and enjoy long conversations with the owners, while learning about this fascinating house.
Wonder House Day Halloween Tour
Saturdays and Sundays from Oct. 7 – 29.
This is an hour and half long guided Halloween tour of the Wonder House that covers three floors.
The house will be decorated for Halloween with many of our personal oddity collections on display as well. This tour touches upon some of the “ghost stories” regarding the Wonder House and it’s history. Keep in mind that this is a private home and you will see rooms in various states of restoration and construction- not all rooms have been completed.
Wonder House Night Halloween Tour
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from October 1 – 29
This is an hour and half long guided nighttime Halloween tour of the Wonder House that covers three floors. Various homemade Halloween and fall themed treats will be offered (pumpkin cheesecake, apple cake, cookies all from scratch- oh my!)
