Discover the amazing Aqua Lanterns: A Chinese Festival of Lights featuring aquatic themed illuminated sculptures.
Dive into a sea of lights and wonder at Aqua Lanterns: A Chinese Festival of Lights at Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
This luminous new after-hours experience was set to debut on Oct. 16, but sadly due to damage from Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, the aquarium has been closed for nearly three weeks.
The good news is that the aquarium reopened on Oct.18, including the debut of Aqua Lanterns, which is now open Wednesday - Sunday evenings through December 30, 2024, and other select dates!
As the sun sets, during Aqua Lanterns, the aquarium will transform into a glowing seascape, featuring stunning illuminated sculptures up to 13 feet tall of whales, turtles, dolphins, sharks as well as penguins, jellyfish and other sparkling sea creatures. Guests can stroll through this mesmerizing marine world and discover over 30 beautifully-crafted lantern displays, next to the amazing real animals throughout the aquarium.
Aqua Lantern tickets will include admission to explore CMA after hours, so guests can enjoy access to underwater views of CMA’s rescued dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays and other resident animals, and explore a number of marine life habitats that will be viewable during evening hours until 8:30 p.m.
This is a family-friendly event for all ages. The night will include dazzling evening entertainment on select dates, as well as specialty drinks to play on the theme and the glow of the holidays.
CMA is offering early bird sale for the Aqua Lantern display for tickets available before Oct. 16 for only $45 per person. After Oct. 15, tickets will be $55 per person. All CMA members will enjoy 10% off tickets and save on special events all year.
