As cold weather continues to grip Central Florida, Walt Disney World has taken the decision to extend the temporary closure of Blizzard Beach Water Park.

Blizzard Beach had been scheduled to be closed for two days, starting yesterday, Tuesday, January 7, and and today, Wednesday, January 8, with the water park set to reopen at 10 am on Thursday, January 9, but as low temperatures continua, the closure has been extended to include Thursday.

The water park is now scheduled to reopen on Friday, January 10 from 10 am to 5 pm, but this is subject to change, if temperatures to not improve.

Today, Orlando will see afternoon highs well below the average of the low 70s, with temps remaining in the 50s. Thursday will again remain cold, and will in fact see the coldest temps of the week, with overnight, and early morning temps in the 30s.
