Yesterday we reported that huge crowds had descended on Walt Disney World for President's Day Weekend, resulting in a high volume of guests paying for the skip the line Genie+ service to bypass the long wait times for rides and attractions.
This resulted in Genie+ selling out yesterday for the first time since Genie+ was introduced to the resort, and this was despite Disney inflating the cost of the variable priced Genie+ to all-time high of $29.
Now today, President's Day, Monday, February 20, Genie+ has now sold out for a second day!
According to the Walt Disney World App, all four theme parks indicate that “purchase of Disney Genie+ Service is no longer offered for today.”
Once a sellout occurs, sales of Genie+ will NOT resume until the following day at 12.01 am
Disney introduced variable pricing for Genie+ towards the end of 2022, allowing the company to raise or lower the price depending on demand, so obviously with the parks being so busy this President's Day weekend, Disney have increased the price of the variable priced Genie+ to an all time high.
The price of the service today was set at $29, reaching the all-time high set during the peak 2022 holiday season.
Since being introduced, the lowest price has been $15, with the peak being $29.
