The Third Annual A Night of the Mystic Arts Festival, co-sponsored by the Seminole Cultural Arts Council and the Society for Historic Casselberry is set to be part of the City of Casselberry's first Friday Food Trucks event of 2025 on Friday, January 10 from 5 - 9 pm at Lake Concord Park.
The event, postponed from October due to weather, will have a wide variety of entertainment and vendors - totaling more than 50 vendors - all involving the mystic arts.
The phenomenal Phantasmagoria, a steampunk style theatrical group, will be among the performers on the night, and in addition to Phantasmagoria, enjoy a live music concert with The Bloody Jug Band.
Drawing inspiration from historic jug bands of the 1920’s and 30’s as well as the darker side of Blues and Rock n’ Roll, the Bloody Jug Band carves out its own niche in a genre of music that has never seen such a bloody incarnation."
Vendors include oddities & curiosities, art, photography, horror, gothic, jewelry, crystals, tarot, books related to ghosts, spiritualism, mysticism, new age arts, and the unexplained.
Also enjoy fortune telling, tarot, palmistry, aura reading, etc.
Long ago, the mid-way point between the winter solstice in December and the spring equinox in March was commemorated with the celebration of an ancient Celtic holiday called Imboloc. On this day, it was believed that the world, deep in the sleep of the cold and snowy winter, needed to be reminded that the seasons would again change.
Candles would be lit so their flames would remind people that the sun, warmth, and spring would return to the land. On this day, the energies of the natural world were thought to be extremely strong in their transition.
This is a FREE event that is open to the public with fun for all!
