This summer, the stunning Bok Tower Gardens will present an all-new series of classical music performance by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
Created by Edward Bok in the 1920's, Bok Tower Gardens is a 250-acre contemplative garden and bird sanctuary located atop Iron Mountain, north of Lake Wales, and this summer visitors can look forward to three family-friendly Symphony Story Time performances and three intimate Summer Serenade chamber performances in the air-conditioned comfort of the Visitor Center Theater.
Symphony Story Time
Enjoy music from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra with Symphony Storytime. These concerts are especially designed with your family in mind. Enjoy live music for young children, ages three to seven, along with narration and beautiful hand-drawn illustrations that bring favorite children’s classics to life.
June 3 – Carnival of the Animals at 9:30 & 11:00 am
Come take a walk on the wild side with this timeless classic brought to you by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra’s Woodwind Quintet. This musical menagerie brings music inspired by animals to life.
You will be transported to exotic locales as (musical) birds chirp, fish swim, elephants trumpet, and lions roar!
June 10 – Peter Rabbit at 9:30 & 11:00 a.m
Enjoy music from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra with Symphony Storytime featuring the tale of Peter Rabbit. Enjoy live music for young children, ages three to seven, along with narration and beautiful hand-drawn illustrations that bring favorite children’s classics to life.
The tale of Peter Rabbit features strings, percussion, a trombone, and a clarinet as they come together to tell the story of a mischievous rabbit named Peter!
August 5 – The Emperor and the Nightingale at 9:30 & 11:00 a.m
Enjoy music from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra with Symphony Storytime featuring the tale of the Emperor and the Nightingale. Musicians from three of the four instrument families come together to tell the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale of a Chinese Emperor and a Nightingale with a voice like no other.
A gorgeous re-telling with flute, strings, and percussion, The Emperor and the Nightingale will captivate and delight children of all ages.

Summer Serenade Schedule
Classically Summer, a 3-part concert series featuring musicians from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
