The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens have announced that they are reopening tomorrow, Wednesday 0ctober 26, at 9 am following an enforced closure due to storm damage caused by Hurricane Ian which tore through Florida last month.
The zoo closed on September 28 ahead of the storm blowing in, and has sadly remained closed ever since due to flooding from both the St. Johns River and Lake Monroe flooding the main road to the zoo, plus zoo staff have had to spend considerable time cleaning up from the storm.
Thankfully non of the zoo's animals were hurt in the storm, and all have been cared for by the zoo's team.
With the zoo reopening it means that they can go ahed with this weekend's Zoo Boo Bash.
At Zoo Bash enjoy trick or treating with all the family while taking a walk on the wild side this weekend, October 29th and 30th, between 9 am and 4 pm.
The cubs are encouraged to bring bags and put on their favorite costumes to take part in the wild activities for all your pride to enjoy.
Zoo Boo Bash. at Central Florida Zoo is the perfect way for children safely show off those Halloween costumes and for families to enjoy trick-or-treat, while enjoying all the fun of the Zoo.
Zoo Boo Bash is included with Zoo general admission. For the Zoo’s Annual Pass Holders, admission is $5 per person named on the card.
You can buy your tickets in advance on the zoo's website.
