New Year’s Eve is an exciting time to be in Orlando's Theme Parks, yes, the parks are going to be crazy busy, but there is something truly amazing about celebrating NYE in the parks, and we've got you covered with the biggest and best things do do in the theme parks.
Theme Park Events & Fireworks
December 31
New Year's Eve is one of the busiest days of the year at Walt Disney World, but you can expect more bang for your buck, with an amazing party atmosphere, extended park hours, dance parties, huge fireworks extravaganzas, and more! Bets of all at Magic Kingdom you can celebrate New Year's Eve on December 30 and 31!!
Read on for what guests visiting Walt Disney World at New Year's Eve can expect for park hours and fireworks times across all four theme parks, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom will be open from 9 am (early entry 8:30 am) to midnight on December 30 and December 31. At Magic Kingdom Park, get a jumpstart on your celebration on Dec. 30 with “Fantasy in the Sky” at 6:30 pm followed by a second showing at 11:50 pm. Both fireworks spectaculars will also greet the new year at the same times on Dec. 31.
EPCOT
EPCOT will be open from 9 am (early entry 8:30 am) to 1 am on December 31. At EPCOT, celebrate the night away on Dec. 31 with DJ dance parties around World Showcase. Enjoy “Luminous The Symphony of Us” at 6:30 pm before “Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration” kicks off its countdown at 11:54 pm.
Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios will be open from 9 am (early entry 8:30 am) to midnight on December 31. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, enjoy a variety of live entertainment and DJs all night long, including the Pixar Dance Party. Be on the lookout for special character experiences throughout the park and don’t miss the New Year Countdown Fireworks.
Disney's Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom will close earlier than the other parks on December 31,opening at 8 am (early entry 7:30 am) to 6 pm. Note, that Animal Kingdom will not feature New Year's Eve fireworks.
December 31
SeaWorld Orlando is the ultimate destination to celebrate the arrival of 2025! On December 31, the park transforms into a vibrant hub of excitement, blending the magic of the holidays with the electrifying energy of New Year’s Eve.
Dance enthusiasts can groove to electrifying beats at DJ Dance Party Zones across the park, featuring everything from nostalgic 80s hits to the latest chart-toppers.
Families won’t want to miss the countdown in Sesame Street Land with Count von Count, where little ones can enjoy a DJ party, nighttime rides, and the festive Sesame Street Christmas Parade.
For those looking to toast to the new year, champagne pop-up bars will be conveniently located throughout the park, offering bubbly cheer to ring in 2025 in style.
The night culminates with a jaw-dropping fireworks display at midnight, illuminating the skies above the park.
December 31
Bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025 at Universal Orlando Resort with the celebrations beginning at 6:30 pm.
BothUniversal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure will be celebrating New Year's Eve with late night opening until 1 am, with Universal CityWalk open until 2 am.
At Universal Studios Florida, the party will be happening at the Music Plaza Stage, featuring a DJ, live music, entertainment, and special character encounters. Plus, guests can also enjoy a Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacluar at 10pm, with fireworks at Midnight.
Over at Islands of Adventure, guests can celebrate at party zones in Port of Entry, Seuss Landing, or Toon Lagoon, with live music, entertainment and special character encounters. There will also be special character encounters in Lost Continent, Jurassic Park, and Marvel Super Hero Island starting at 6:30 pm. The Midnight Celebration will be held in Port of Entry when the clock strikes 12 am.
In Universal CityWalk, DJs and live entertainment will start at 6 pm, featuring entertainment at the Waterfront Stage, featuring the Crenshaw Duo and Zee-R Band multiple times throughout the night.
To ring in 2025, guests can enjoy the Midnight Celebration at the Promenade and Plaza.
Several Universal Orlando Resort hotels will also have specially ticketed New Year’s Eve celebrations for guests and non-guests alike, including Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando, Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando, and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando.
December 26 - 31
LEGOLAND Florida Resort will welcome 2025 with Kids’ New Year’s Eve at LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park. Witness colorful bursts of LEGO brick-bursting fireworks lighting the night sky over Lake Eloise, groove at the DJ Dance Party, and explore festive activities — and at the kid-friendly hour of 8 p.m. Additionally, experience the exclusive “Brick-drop” countdown on Dec. 31!
Kids' New Year's Eve is included in day tickets, hotel packages, and select Annual Passes.
December 31
Join Busch Gardens on December 31 for a New Year’s Eve Celebration featuring
unforgettable fun during the day and fireworks at night, the park is giving 2025 a wondrous welcome with bold fireworks, entertainment and more.
Enjoy all the festive activities of Busch Gardens Christmas Town with millions of twinkling lights, holiday shows, specialty dining and fan-favorite thrill rides. Then, ring in the new year with a special fireworks show with a fantastic soundtrack sure to help you ring in the New Year with cheer.
