On this action-packed day, brace yourself for heart-pounding twists, exhilarating turns, and unforgettable moments of pure coaster joy. With one-of-a-kind thrills like Pipeline, Mako, Ice Breaker, Kraken, and Manta.


Intensify the thrill with SeaWorld's Coaster Challenge, exclusively for the first 400 visitors!


Visit the booth near Guest Services beginning at 9 am, while supplies last, to secure your Coaster Challenge Quick Queue lanyard. It's a "first come, first served" opportunity. This special lanyard, valid only on August 16, will grant you one-time, front of the line access to every coaster in the park!


National Roller Coaster Day at SeaWorld, Coaster Capital of Orlando

Exclusively for Pass Members, SeaWorld Orlando invites you to embark on an extraordinary behind-the-scenes tour of Orlando’s tallest hyper coaster, Mako.


Mako has been voted Best Roller Coaster by USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards, 2023. Tours will be held at 10 am and 1 pm with limited availability. Make your reservation when you visit, at the SkyTower Tour Desk.


Pass Members can also get a FREE Pipeline Lanyard and Pouch starting August 16 while supplies last. Available only at the Pipeline High Surf Store.


Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal Orlando

While Universal Orlando have not announced any special events to celebrate National Roller Coaster Day, every day is a day to celebration dNational Roller Coaster Day at Universal, with what is the best roller coaster in Florida, Jurassic World VelociCoaster!


Velocicoaster is a must do here in Orlando, it’s the apex predator of roller coasters: the Jurassic World VelociCoaster. Board your vehicle for a high-speed dash through the park’s raptor paddock. Feel the rush of the hunt as you race alongside these nimble predators, twisting and soaring above the land and water.


The Incredible Hulk Coaster, Universal Orlando

Oh, and if that's not enough to get your heart racing, head on over to Marvel Super Hero Island and unleash your inner Hulk on The Incredible Hulk Coaster, as you volunteer to take part in a science experiment based on Dr. Bruce Banner’s research—but a blast of gamma radiation changes everything.


You launch up to 67 miles per hour as Hulk-like power propels you upside down into a zero-gravity roll, racing faster and faster. Hang on as this high-speed, red-line rampage smashes its way through the sky!

LEGOLAND Florida Flying School Roller Coaster

Last month LEGOLAND Florida Resort revealed that the ever popular Flying School suspended roller coaster will make its final flight on August 16, National Roller Coaster Day.


The ride is being removed to make way for a new experience, and now through August 16, the park is celebrating the final flights of Flying School with an exclusive Pop Badge.


Take one last flight on this suspended coaster before picking up your commemorative Pop Badge at Driving School Store in LEGO City.


LEGOLAND Florida Flying School Roller Coaster

The Flying School coaster pre-dates LEGOLAND Florida itself, with the Vekoma manufactured suspended family coaster opening at Cypress Gardens as Swamp Thing in 2004.

Like Universal Orlando, over at Walt Disney World they have no official plans to celebrate National Roller Coaster Day, BUT why not take an unofficial challenge to ride all Walt Disney World's roller coaster on National Roller Coaster Day, are you up for the challenge?


First up at Magic Kingdom you have the newest coaster in the resort, TRON Lightcycle Run, where you climb aboard your very own Lightcycle and take off on a high-speed adventure, racing against the Grid’s most menacing Programs.


Surge past your fierce opponents as you attempt to cross through 8 Energy Gates and secure your team’s victory. TRON Lightcycle / Run is one of the fastest coasters at any Disney theme park in the world.


Also at Magic Kingdom you gotta ride kiddie coaster, The Barnstormer where you take flight above Storybook Circus with Goofy in a homemade stunt airplane for a thrilling junior roller coaster ride.


Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Magic Kingdom

Then get ready for the fastest ride in the wilderness, onboard Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, where you race through a haunted gold mine aboard a speeding train on this thrilling coaster-style ride. Also at Magic Kingdom you have Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, where you race through the diamond mine from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on a swaying family coaster ride.


 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind EPCOT

Moving on to EPCOT, there is the amazing Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, where you take off on an intergalactic chase through space and time with the Guardians of the Galaxy. This family-thrill attraction features the first ever reverse-launch on a Disney coaster and is one of the largest fully-enclosed coasters in the world! An innovation from Walt Disney Imagineering—this coaster rotates 360 degrees so you can focus on the action!


At Animal Kingdom, a must ride coaster in Orlando is Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain

Ready for more? At Hollywood Studios race to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, where you will race along the darkened freeways of Los Angeles in a super-stretch limo to the rockin' tunes of Aerosmith. Then finally, over at Animal Kingdom, a must ride coaster in Orlando is Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.


Careen through icy Himalayan peaks on a speeding train while avoiding the clutches of the mythic Yeti. Trust us, this is one of the best coasters in Orlando.

Pick up a card at Gwazi Pavilion between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and return it by 5 p.m. after conquering each participating ride to receive an exclusive coaster lanyard!


Pass Members that do not want to participate in the challenge can still pick-up a lanyard.
