Along with Dunedin’s rich Scottish History, they also have a history of oranges, orange groves and citrus packing. This goes back to the early 1880’s until the early 1950’s.
The Dunedin Orange Festival is a family-friendly, summertime event centered around the history of the city and the citrus industry.
This annual fund-raiser for the Dunedin Museum resembles an old fashioned family event from the days past. Vintage cars, dancing music, local vendors, a silent auction and pinup ladies wandering the venue all bring a bit of nostalgia to the town.
Come celebrate on Saturday, July 13 from 10am - 9pm!
Best of all, this good old fashioned downtown celebrations is free for all to attend.
Entertainment on the stage all day:
10:30am Dunedin Pipe Band
12pm - 1:30pm Jack & Josie
2pm - 4pm Cadillac Cowboys
4:30pm - 6:30pm Benjamin Road
7pm - 9pm Hot Rod Hornets
The Dunedin Orange Festival is a Fundraiser for the Dunedin History Museum.
The 11th Annual Orange Festival proceeds provide the Dunedin History Museum to follow its mission to educate and preserve the community’s rich cultural heritage. Funds are used to continue educational programming such as museum exhibits, traveling exhibits to local schools and community centers and create exciting projects for summer camp students. These programs directly serve and benefit the students and community of Dunedin.
