Cheese lovers, rejoice! Meltwich Food Co., the Canadian restaurant devoted to celebrating all things cheese, is set to expand into Florida, including two locations in Orlando.
According to Business Debut, Meltwich will open its first Florida restaurant in Gainesville this summer at 1404 W University Ave.
This will be followed by the first of two Orlando restaurant in September at 12100 Collegiate Way, Orlando, with the second undisclosed location to follow.
Founded in Toronto, Canada by renowned restaurateur Tom Mavrou and his wife Barb Kiss, Meltwich has quickly become a national sensation, known for its innovative approach to cheese- focused cuisine.
The restaurant offers a creatively curated menu featuring elevated versions of classic comfort food with a cheesy twist.
The brand is known for all things melted cheese, from loaded grilled cheeses, to made-to-order beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, and cheesesteaks, to signature Hot Mess Fries®, all served alongside hand-scooped milkshakes, ice-cold beer, and more.

Since the original Meltwich opened in 2015 in downtown Toronto, Meltwich has grown to more than 75 locations open and in development across Canada, and plans to open 20 locations across the United States by the end of 2025.
