Busch Gardens Tampa Bay have opened The Springs Taproom, a brand new beer and cocktail lounge.
Just in time to celebrate the new year, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay have opened a brand new beer and cocktail lounge called The Springs Taproom.
The Springs Taproom is currently open for preview, with an official opening slated for January 2023.
Located in the Bird Gardens area of the park in what used to be the Garden Gate Café, and the former Busch hospitality Center before that, the reimagined venue pays homage to the history of the park and the building that the new lounge occupies.
The building itself, built in 1959, is significant because it was one of the first structures in what would become the Busch Gardens Theme Park.
Back in the fifties, beer-brewer Anheuser - Busch started up a beer garden (with free beer) and a bird show at the front of its new brewery in Tampa.
It opened on March 31, 1959 as an admission-free hospitality facility for the Tampa Anheuser-Busch brewery on the grounds of the manufacturing plant.
The building that now houses the new Springs Taproom was originally the last stop of the Busch brewing facility tour where you could pick up a free sample of Budweiser beer.
The new venue features a calm pond and exuberant landscaping which will provide a relaxing setting for guests to sip different types of brews, handcrafted cocktails and enjoy delicious eats.
The venue has been rethemed with a mix of modern decoration and classic photos, taking guests on a journey down memory lane.
The Springs Taproom features a menu of 12 draft beer options, some available year-round and others rotating seasonally, as well as refreshing frozen beverages, such as frosé and frojito, which will be served daily.
Some of the food items available includes a Mediterranean sampler, fresh fruit and other snack options.
