Longtime Orlando favorite to close Altamonte Springs restaurant following owners retirement.

Central Florida is losing one of its best BBQ spots with the announcement that Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ is closing its Altamonte Springs restaurant located at 1049 E. Altamonte Drive.
Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ Altamonte Springs announced the news on social media, informing customers that the restaurant would close its doors forever on April 1, 2025.
"After many years of serving our local central Florida community, we have decided to close our doors. April 1, 2025 will be Bubbalou's Altamonte Springs last day of business. We have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Altamonte Springs community."
The closure is due to the restaurants owner Bucky deciding to hang up his apron, and retire, with the restaurant explaining, "For those of you who may not know Bucky, the owner, he has been a part of the Bubbalou's concept for many years starting with the Lee Rd location. He has been the dedicated and hard working face of Bubbalou's at Lee Rd and at the Altamonte Springs locations. Rarely a day passes that Bucky has not been at the counter ready to take your order, in the dining room with customers or serving at a catered event. He has been committed to providing Bubbalou's customers with affordable, delicious BBQ for 3 decades."
Customers are invited to visit the restaurant and wish Bucky well on his next chapter, before the doors close on April 1.
The closure of Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ in Altamonte Springs does not affect the companies last remaining restaurant, which is located at 5818 Conroy Road, Orlando which remains very much open for business.
Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ has been serving BBQ since 1986, opening its first location in Winter Park, expanding to four restaurants in total, including a location at Lee Road, Apopka, plus the Altamonte Springs, and Conroy Road location.
Both the original Winter Park, and Apopka locations closed in 2021, citing the Covid 19 shutdown as the reason for the closures.
