Bruce Costella’s popular horror storytelling cabaret from 2022 has an all-new follow-up: Spooky & Gay-er. With his/their usual self-deprecating charm and intelligent wordplay, Bruce brings you original songs, eerie campfire tales, and a carefully balanced “funny meets unsettling” atmosphere.

Spooky & Gay-er will premier from Fri Oct 4, 2024 - Sun Oct 6, 2024 at Fringe ArtSpace, 54 W Church St Suite 201, Orlando.

Spooky & Gay-er is the follow-up to a thoughtful, laugh-out-loud cabaret that premiered in 2022. Bruce Ryan Costella’s (he/they) work has been praised by audiences and critics across the US and Canada. With a self-deprecating boy-next-door charm that’s impossible to dislike, Bruce balances carefully written texts with authentic audience connection.

This brand-new solo horror storytelling show includes original songs, spellbinding stories, and an eerie atmosphere that will stay with you long after the night is over. Orlando Weekly said of the first installment, “...[you’ll] laugh yourself to death,” and this next piece in the series will give you candy-coated jokes by the bagful, too. A master of mood, Bruce leads the audience from upbeat gags and wordplay into sinister real-world fears and back again.

Recommended for ages 18 & up. The performance runs approximately 60 minutes.
