With temperatures set to drop quicker than a roller coaster at Universal tonight, the resort has announced that Volcano Bay will remain closed in the upcoming days.
Central Florida is set to become much colder tonight, Monday, January 6, with a Cold Weather Advisory in place for this evening, with wind chill values as low as 25 to 30 degrees espected across Lake, Volusia, Seminole and Orange counties.
Tuesday will only have highs running in the upper 50s, which is about 15° below normal. Once night falls you will definetly need to wrap up warm, with temps in the mid/upper 30s through midweek.
With cold temps predicted, Universal Orlando is closing it's water park, Universal Volcano Bay for three solid days, Tuesday, January 7, Wednesday, January 8, and Thursday, January 9.
As we look towards the end of the week, we will thankfully see a slow warming back to the 60s. Then, on Saturday another cold front will be approaching, bringing a 60% chance for rain on Saturday, with a dry but colder day on Sunday, with morning temps in the 40s, warming into the low 60s by afternoon.
