With low temperatures arriving in Central Florida, Aquatica Orlando is temporarily closed.
We might have beautiful blue skies today in Orlando, but the sting in the tail is the cooler temps being felt throughout the area!
The first chill of the season has forced Aquatica Orlando to close today, Thursday, November 21 for one day. The water park is currently scheuled to re-open on Friday, but expect this to change as temperatures are expected to plunge further throughout the weekend.
Universal Volcano Bay is also closed, choosing to close for the next two days, with Disney's Blizzard Beach closed for the next three days.
Here in Central Florida it is typical during the winter months for the water parks to close when temperatures fall.
Typically from now through until Spring expect the area water parks to be closed several times due to the cooler temps.
Despite blue skies today, Thursday, afternoon highs are expected to only reach the mid to upper 60s, which is around 10 degrees below seasonal averages!
Moving into the weekend, and the cooler temps continue, with Central Florida facing some of the coldest temperatures since last winter.
Overnight lows are forecast to dive into the 30s and 40s, with afternoon highs again in the mid-60s.
Wrap up warm Central Florida, at least through the weekend!
