As Hurricane Milton continues on an expected path that will likely see the storm rip into Tampa and tear through the I-4 corridor into Greater Orlando, indoor parking is at a premium

All downtown Orlando parking garage now at full capacity as Hurricane Milton makes its potentially life-threatening assault on Florida

A rare and dangerous weather event is unfolding across Orlando with tornado and flooding rainfall threats rapidly increasing this afternoon well ahead of Hurricane Milton making landfall on the Florida west coast.

Orlando residents are taking the growing threat of the monster storm tearing into or near Tampa, causing devastating damage as it tears through the I-4 corridor into Greater Orlando seriously, and early this morning the City of Orlando opened four parking garages at 6am for any resident who would like to park a car in a covered garage.

The four garages, Central Boulevard Garage, 53 West Central Boulevard, Jefferson Street Garage, 62 West Jefferson Street, Library Garage, 112 East Central Boulevard, and Orange County Administration Garage, 300 Liberty Avenue filled up quickly and are now full!

With all garages full, the city opened one more garage to assist, at Amelia Street Garage at 355 Alexander Place.

This is now full too, with the city commenting that no more spaces will be made available.

All cars in garages should be removed by 12pm. Friday, October. 11, dependent on weather and road conditions.

We urge you to stay informed and stay safe as Hurricane Milton approaches Florida.
