Sad news comes from Oviedo, as yet another pub is closing its doors, with Oviedo Brewing Company announcing that it will permanently close this month.

Oviedo Brewing Company, located at Oviedo Mall, 1280 Oviedo Mall Blvd, Oviedo, announced the news via the craft breweries social media accounts, informing customers that they will serve their last pint on Friday, February 28.

The craft brewery, and restaurant first opened its doors within Oviedo Mall in 2019, serving the local Oviedo community for five years from its expansive 8,000-square-foot space, including a tap room, brewhouse and full kitchen.

In announcing the news, the team behind Oviedo Brewing Company say that ongoing economic challenges, rising costs, and the lasting impacts of the pandemic have made it increasingly difficult for them to continue.

The team commented, "We have fought tirelessly to keep our doors open, but the financial and emotional toll has been overwhelming. The effort to push forward has mentally drained us, and despite our best attempts, we have reached the difficult decision to close. Our last day of operation will be February 28."

They went on to extend their deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported them throughout their journey.

"To our incredible staff—words cannot fully express our appreciation for you. You have been the heart and soul of Oviedo Brewing Company, bringing passion, dedication, and warmth to everything you do. You have made this more than just a business; you have created a welcoming space where friendships were formed, memories were made, and great beer was shared. Your hard work, resilience, and unwavering commitment have been the backbone of this company, and we are forever grateful. We are proud to have worked alongside such an exceptional team, and we will always cherish the bond we’ve built together."
