Join Stan the T-Rex and his fossil friends in DinoDigs at Orlando Science Center as they show off their twinkling talent in a festive display of music and light. Out of Order | Let Down is a two-person exhibition by Kristen Letts Kovak and Grace Mikell Ramsey. This exhibition explores complex visual language of abstraction, naturalism and fantasy to engage in dialogue on the nuances of female perseverance. Through visual storytelling, the two artists reflect and represent ongoing issues of female bodies, gender roles, societal expectations and biases. The intuitive and formal experimentations engage visceral emotions and encourage active consideration and questioning of expectations and consequences for women through our lived experiences.

Imogen Says Nothing is a contemporary comedy featuring Imogen, a character who only appears in the First Folio of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, speaks no lines, and is probably a typo. Aditi Kapil’s bold and irreverent comedy tells the tale of an unforgettable woman in Elizabethan England who seizes the chance to break boundaries by participating in a performance traditionally reserved solely for men. As she takes the stage, the lines between identity and reality blur, especially since Imogen is also a bear. Imogen Says Nothing is a riotous exploration of empowerment and the enduring quest for visibility, ensuring that Imogen’s voice will be heard loud and clear.

The City of Orlando invites local visual artists to display their artwork to celebrate Black History Month in the Terrace Gallery at Orlando City Hall from January 31 – March 30, 2025. Art is an intrinsic part of Black heritage and culture, and the city is offering an opportunity for artists to showcase the diverse richness of African American history and heritage through the visual arts.

As a member of the RivBea Orchestra, Sam’s illustrious big band, Doug honed his craft alongside jazz legends. In celebration of what would have been Sam’s 100th birthday, Doug has brought together a dynamic ensemble of original members and eager young talents. This annual City of Winter Park festival celebrates the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and promotes community and family heritage. The two-day festival takes place in Shady Park across from the Hannibal Square Heritage Center in Winter Park. Sunday entertainment features music by local gospel bands and Monday includes a special program honoring Dr. King with ongoing musical artists. Special activities include children’s games, career booths, as well as retail and local food vendors. The Hannibal Square Heritage Center offers extended hours during the festival for visitors to learn about the history of Hannibal Square.
