Kid-Friendly, Family Halloween Events in Orlando

Halloween is a spook-tacular time to be Orlando, with many of the top scare events and attractions in the country, and while they are perfect for the adults, not so much for the little ones, so here we have brought together all the kid-friendly events thay the kids will love without getting scared.


We've compiled a list of all the family events that are taking place in Orlando to celebrate Halloween, and as we get closer to Halloween we'll keep adding all the latest things to do




KID-FRIENDLY THEME PARK EVENTS


2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Select Nights, August 9 - October 31, 2024

Delight in a spooky atmosphere and frightful fun at this year's Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. this spirited celebration takes place at Disney's Magic Kingdom, taking place on select evenings August 9 to October 31, 2024, from 7pm to midnight.


Enjoy spellbinding entertainment including exclusive shows, a spooktacular parade, explosive fireworks, your favorite Disney characters dressed in their Halloween best, and so much more.


Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

New devious delights for 2024 include Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their brand-new neon spiderweb attire. Plus, be on the lookout for sinister sights! Spot more Disney villains across the park than ever before, and don't forget to journey over to Fairytale Garden to meet Mirabel and her special visitor Bruno Madrigal, making his first ever appearance at the party.


This limited-capacity, nighttime event allows guests to experience shorter wait times on attractions, while enjoying themed food and beverage, exclusive merch and more.

Minnie's Halloween Dine at Disney's Hollywood Studios

August 9 - November 7, 2024

Celebrate spooky season with Minnie Mouse and her friends at this seasonal dining party. Minnie's Halloween Dine takes place daily at Hollywood & Vine within Hollywood Studios.


Minnie's Halloween Dine features lunch and dinner, with both the lunch and dinner buffet menu offering an array of salads and delicious chilled starters.


Entrees include roasted mushroom farro risotto, macaroni & cheese with shrimp and bacon, as well as protein selections featuring oven-roasted chicken, herb-crusted tenderloin steak, salmon and crispy pork belly. Make sure to save room for some show stopping desserts, including seasonal bread pudding, Mississippi mud pie and a variety of mini desserts!


Lunch and dinner is $63 per adult and $40 per child (ages 3 – 9).


Advance reservations are highly recommended. Same-day reservations can be made on a limited basis and are subject to availability.


Halloween Horror Nights At Universal Orlando Resort

Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) at Universal Studios Florida is huge, its one of the biggest Halloween events in Florida, and features horror of all genres, from cinematic greats and crazed cult favorites to the park’s original abominations, and each year the legend grows and the experience reaches beyond your wildest nightmares...


This year, Halloween Horror Nights 33 emerges from the fog in August, kicking off on its earliest date in the events history, taking place on 48 nights from August 30 through November 3, 2024.


So what should you expect from the popular after-hours event this year? HHN 33 includes10 terrifying haunted houses, five scare zones, and an entertaining live show, but is HHN suitable for kids?


Officially, Halloween Horror Nights is not recommended for anyone under the age of 13. That said, children under age13 are not restricted from the event, so you will see some kids at the event, but for most families, HHN is best left to the grwn-ups.


Multiple ticket options are available, including Single Night Tickets, R.I.P. Tours, Express Passes, and Unmasking the Horror Passes, with tickets including a 6 month Peacock premium subscription.


Single-Night Tickets for Halloween Horror Nights 33 start at $82.99 per person, but vary depending on date.


SeaWorld Orlando Halloween Spooktacular

Select Dates, August 31 - November 3, 2024

SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular is back with fun surprises, candy, costumes and more!


Kids love trick-or-treating (with purchase of reusable bag) during this daytime event as they explore the decorated trail through Key West and around Dolphin Theater where they will meet colorful characters. and enjoy sweet surprises.


This year be sure to check out all the immersive family Spooktacular Festivities, includng the Sesame Street Halloween Parade, Halloween Storytime with Big Bird, Halloween Cookie Decorating, Scarecrow Halloween Dance Party, Halloween Kids Crafts, and more.


SeaWorld Spooktacular runs select days, August 31 - November 3, and is included with park admission.


Busch Gardens’ Halloween Harvest

Saturdays & Sundays, September 7 - November 3, 2024

At Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Halloween Harvest takes place during regular park hours, and is included with park entry on Saturdays and Sundays from September 7 to November 3.


Halloween Harvest is a family-friendly event inviting guests to celebrate Halloween with trick-or-treating, costume parades and more during this family-friendly event.


LEGOLAND Florida Brick-or-Treat

Select Days, September 13 - October 27, 2024

Ready your souls for monstrous family fun as Brick-or-Treat bewitches LEGOLAND Florida Resort this Halloween season! Swoop into the spellbinding spirit with LEGO brick-bursting fireworks, ghoul-tastic shows and experiences, tidal waves of candy, wickedly delicious treats, and exclusive LEGO characters!


Select weekends this fall, the party kicks off as Monsters take over LEGOLAND and host the Halloween party of the year featuring: Live Entertainment & Shows, Limited-Time Attractions, Character Meet & Greets, Bricktastic Fireworks Shows, and of course, Trick-or-Treating!

HAUNTED ATTRACTIONS FOR KIDS


Mortem Manor at Old Town, Kissimmee

Year Round Attraction

Mortem Manor is located at Old Town, Kissimmee. Are you ready to experience Orlando's only year-round haunted attraction? For little kids no way, but the attraction is suitable for children 13 and older.

Haunting Nights Leu Gardens Creative City Project

Experience an even bigger and spookier Haunting Nights in 2024! An artful Halloween experience featuring immersive worlds; great food and drink; fun fall-inspired experiences; and some unexpected surprises from the forest. A perfectly haunting night out at Leu Gardens for only for the older kids.


  • Watch out for Bigfoot on the swampy edges of Lake Rowena.

  • Make it through crazy clowns in the Crazy Carnival.

  • Enjoy hip-hop dancing aliens all night long.

  • Celebrate Dia de Muertos with a margarita and live music.

Gather the entire family and enter into exciting immersive worlds throughout Orlando’s Leu Gardens. Happy Frights in 2024 presents brand new immersive worlds with fun surprises!

A Petrified Forest Orlando Haunt

Select Nights, October 4 - November 2, 2024

A Petrified Forest is a home grown community attraction, offering three intensely horrifying scare trails set in a genuinely spooky forest location covering around 2 acres, and is not recommended for little kids, but the popular halloween attraction offers for one day only, a kids day that is perfect for the whole family to enjoy!


Make-A-Wish Kid's Day offers family fun in the spooky sun for your little ones from 9 am - 12 pm. The event includes a trick or treat trail, bounce house, costume parade, games, prizes & more. All proceeds go towards Make-A-Wish of Northern & Central FL. heck back for confirmation of this year's date.

Screamin' Green Hauntoween at Crayola Experience

September 21 - October 31

Screamin' Green Hauntoween returns for spooky family fun! This event is CHALK-full of spooky happenings: a themed scavenger hunt, spook-tastic crafts, character photo ops, and more! Plus, every weekend enjoy trick-or-treat stations! There is so much to "BOO", you may never want to leave. ALL Included with general admission at Crayola Experience in The Florida Mall.


September 21 - October 27

Join us at Tampa Bay’s number one family Halloween event, Creatures of the Night at ZooTampa for a night of eerie family frights! Ghouls and goblins of all ages can enjoy howling outdoor experiences, spooky characters, creepy culinary treats, and much more!


Fun Spot’s FUNOWEEN Monster ‘Ganza!

The Wait is Over. Introducing Fun Spot’s FUNOWEEN Monster ‘Ganza! Get ready for a season full of monstrous fun! This brand-new seasonal event expands the Fun Spot brand within all three of our family-friendly parks with a refreshing approach to our Halloween offerings.


Funoween will feature unique and special events that cater to guests of all ages! In addition to our Trick-Or-Treating and Dance Party, guests are encouraged to come and participate in one of our many exciting activities during the Halloween season! Not only are these events included with admission, but they’re full of prizes as well!

A brand-new Junie B. Jones escapade, written just for families at Orlando Family Stage as a world-premiere production. The ever-lovable (yet quite a handful) Junie B. has a slight problem – she’s a bit afraid of Halloween! Are there real witches and monsters amongst the trick-or-treaters? Do bats really nest in your hair? What exactly is candy corn? However, before the big night, Junie B. plans to win all the games and prizes at the school carnival, hoping that will arm her with all the courage and bravery she needs.


Pirates of the Haunted Seas at SEA LIFE Orlando

Shiver me timbers! This October, prepare for a swashbuckling Halloween experience like no other as the all new “Pirates of the Haunted Seas” event invades SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium.


Running from October 4 through November 3, this spine-chilling event promises a treasure trove of thrills for the entire family.

 

Families with young buccaneers are invited to embark on a thrilling adventure of scales and scares throughout the aquarium, featuring meet-and-greets with Pirate Captain Sebastian, trick-or-treating opportunities, and educational stations that offer a glimpse into pirate lore and nautical history. Guests can also enjoy festive decorations that set the scene for an eerie, unforgettable experience.


Throughout weekdays, watch as aquarists dive underwater in the Indian Ocean Exhibit to carve up some pumpkins adding to the Halloween fun.

Get ready for a spooktacular time as our beloved family-favorite Halloween activity returns as a daytime event! Join us every Saturday and Sunday in October for an unforgettable Halloween experience filled with fun and excitement for all ages. Trick or treat at our treat stations, marvel at Halloween-themed decorations, and snap the perfect spooky photos. Enjoy the eerie ambiance with music and special performances that will leave you thrilled. Jurassic Haunt: The Curse Unearthed! at Dinosaur World

This October, Dinosaur World in Plant City invites you to their inaugural after-hours event, Jurassic Haunt!

Embark on a family-friendly adventure through themed scare zones, where excitement and enchantment await. Enjoy delightful bites and spirits as you explore, but remember – some things are better left buried… Are you brave enough to face the curse?


Jurassic Haunt: The Curse Unearthed! will feature scare zones, haunted train rides, bites, spirits, and, of course, a few surprises...



October 11, 2024

This kids' night out at Liberty Park 34420, 268 N Apopka Ave, Inverness is a unique, immersive experience that has never been seen in Citrus County before! Don your best family-friendly Halloween costume, and let’s get spooky as Lance Bass from NSYNC narrates his newest book, Trick or Treat on Scary Street -- and watch as the story comes to life right before your eyes! This event is free to the public and open to all ages. Costumes are encouraged (please ensure costumes are child-appropriate and leave any costume-weapons at home). A child-friendly dance party will take place after the story time.


The popular Gators, Ghosts, and Goblins Halloween event is returning to the “Alligator Capital of the World”

Weekends, October 12 - 27

The popular Gators, Ghosts, and Goblins Halloween event is returning to the “Alligator Capital of the World” for its sixth year of spooky fun for all the family! The daytime event that is included with park admission is taking place over three weekends in October, from Oct. 12 through 27, 2024. Meet Gravedigger, Florida Bigfoot and Skunk Ape, and more. There is so much for all the family to enjoy this year at Gators, Ghosts, and Goblins, including a children’s Halloween costume parade with treat bags for all kids who participate. Plus, the entire family will enjoy fun shows, a live DJ, specialty vendors, games, photo-ops, candy giveaways, and more.


Orlando Halloween Fest at Waterford Lakes

October 19

Join Halloween Fest on Sunday, October 19 from 11-3 pm at the Waterford Lakes Town Center! A fun trick-or-treating event with family-friendly businesses handing out candy and showcasing what they offer. When the candy runs out, don't forgot to enjoy the FREE balloon animals, crafts, temp tattoo scans, reptile petting zoo and more fun activities. Come dressed up as a family and you might win a prize!

Join The ice Factory in Kissimmee on Friday, October 25th from 7pm-10pm for our annual Boo Skate! Celebrate Halloween on the ice with spooky music from our DJ, interactive games, trick or treat stations, a costume contest, and of course, lots of ice skating fun. Boo On Broadway 2024 - Historic Downtown Kissimmee

Join 10,000 plus people at this FREE trick or treating event in historic Downtown Kissimmee with road closures the safety of your children! Boo On Broadway is a beloved community event featuring trick-or-treating, costume contests, live entertainment, and local vendors.

Meet beachside on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday October 31 – November 2 for the Monster Mash Pool Party and dive into the ultimate Halloween bash! Enjoy nonstop fun with a live DJ, games, prizes, and more. Games include Ghosts in the Graveyard, Mummy Wrap, Zombie Eyeball toss, and more.

STRANGER SINGS! THE PARODY MUSICAL is a hilarious “upside down” take on the hit Netflix series - in all its campy 1980s glory. Join Mike, Eleven, Lucas, Dustin and the whole Hawkins gang for a night of adventure, thrills, pubescent angst, heavy synth, poor parenting, convoluted love triangles, cheap effects, dancing monsters and maybe, just maybe... justice for everyone’s favorite missing ginger, Barb Holland. Get tickets now for the show at Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater.


This show is suitable for families, but Dr Phillips Center have said that the show may contain mature content.
